The Desktop Charging Pad is a custom enclosure for your Apple MagSafe charger. The aluminium body is anodised in matte black, then paired with a choice of exterior finishes - forged carbon, walnut, or oak. Each exterior component is finished with a 2K clear coat for durability.

The interior is trimmed with genuine Charcoal 9002 Alcantara, the same material used in premium automotive interiors. The Alcantara is available with optional laser-perforated detailing or a clean, unmarked finish.

Each charging pad ships with a custom-fit insert for your MagSafe charger, for a precise and secure fit.

- Forged Carbon - Made using chopped tow and resin in compression moulds. This is real carbon, not decorative, skinned or carbon effect. The material is hand-loaded into the mould and compressed one by one. A true composite, produced in small batches due to the process

 

- American Black Walnut & White Oak - CNC machined and hand finished. Each piece is machined from solid hardwood and individually refined to bring out the grain and tone unique to every piece.

If I supplied them, I'd have to buy at retail and have to mark it up, which means you'd pay more, with no extra benefit, and without Apple's warranty.

Ordering from Apple avoids the unnecessary mark-ups and keeps your warranty intact.

Plus, there's a good chance you probably already own one.

why it's made this way

As I finalised the printed prototypes, the final version felt didn't feel substantial. It was too lightweight and lacked presence. So, I decided it need to be machined from aluminium instead, giving it the substance and presence it was missing.

The interior is trimmed in genuine Alcantara, not just because it's a premium material, but because incorporating real automotive materials was central to the concept from the start. The optional laser engraved perforation is a deliberate design detail inspired by the patterns often found on leather and Alcantara in automotive interiors.

The forged carbon exterior continues the automotive influence. Made using compression moulds with chopped tow and resin. It's a real composite component, not skinned or a carbon effect. The oak and walnut are alternative variations, that keep the core design but offer a completely different feel.

frequently asked questions

How do I know if my charger is Gen 1 or Gen 2?

The easiest way to tell them apart is the power cable.

 

Gen 1 - Standard smooth, plastic coated cable with a thick rubber "collar" where the cable meets the charger.

 

Gen 2 - Textured, braided cable with no collar where the cable meets the charger.

 

If you're unsure, please get in touch with a photo of your charger and I will verify which one you own.

Is it compatable with non-Apple chargers?

No. The Desktop Charging Pad is designed specifically for the genuine Apple MagSafe charger.

Do I need to assemble it?

The Desktop Charging Pad arrives assembled, but you'll need to remove the top cover to install your charger.

 

The design is a stack of layered components, held together with four machine screws underneath. Use the included allen key to remove these screws, lift off the top cover and base, clip your charger into the adapter, and drop it into place. Then simply restack the parts and screw them back together.

How long does shipping take?

This is an exclusive pre-order. Pre-orders will begin shipping with the public limited release in 6-8 weeks (estimated early August).
